Job Description: Inventory Picker

Main Tasks:

• Managing the transfer of goods onto and off of vessels:
• Handle the transfer of bulk goods from nearby farmers at the time of harvest
• Load completed goods onto dry vans, flatbeds, and rail boxcars
• Inventory Management:
• Support management by conducting inventory audits to track all items housed within the premises
• Precisely monitor the amount of stock on hand and the number of products shipped to customers
• Processing Season Support:
• Help machine operators with the processes of milling, treating, and packaging materials
• Control the flow of unprocessed materials entering production lines
• Inventory finished products
• Support with the sanitation of equipment (respirators necessary) and elimination of beans from the prior type when transitioning to new varieties
• The cleaning process for the mill screen involves reaching overhead and below the knees, as well as twisting, lifting, and rotating
• Carry out cleaning tasks that include lifting objects, sweeping surfaces, and clearing away trash

Equipment Operation:

• Safely utilize forklifts to stack containers, bins, and palletized items in the warehouse
• Implement the use of fixed or movable ladders and stairs for heights of around 24 feet
• Utilize motorized material handling equipment such as forklifts, skid steer loaders, and wheel loaders
• Processing and Shipping:
• Adhere to the timelines for processing and delivering orders
• Ensure comprehensive processing reports are completed for every batch processed or dispatched, detailing weight tracking, container identification, reject weights, processing dates, quality assessment, and batch identification numbers

Getting products ready and packed for distribution and sale entails product preparation and packaging:

• Make the necessary preparations for storing processed items and clearly mark or document where they will be stored
• Final products can be packaged by either suspending pouches, stitching pouches, or piling pouches, each weighing between 25 and 110 pounds
• Move luggage from the moving belts onto nearby pallets and arrange them in stacks reaching four to five feet in height
• Carry out the relocation of pallets and rearrange them as necessary to fulfill customer requirements or rectify errors
• Housekeeping:
• Engage in routine household chores such as sweeping surfaces, wiping down ledges, and tending to any spills or clutter
• Ensuring safety and maintaining quality standards are essential components of safety and quality assurance:
• Participate proactively in ADM-EBSI safety and Quality Assurance initiatives, which involve attending frequent safety gatherings and inspections

Additional Qualifications:

• Adaptable to working all shifts, even on weekends and holidays
• Capability to be seated, rise, or move around for extended durations
• The ability to operate in small or elevated areas, such as tight spaces or heights, while also performing tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
• Capability to wear a respirator when necessary

Physical Requirements:

• Can lift and transport items weighing up to 55 lbs on one's own, while bulky bags may necessitate teamwork for handling
• Working in dusty conditions is necessary during the harvest season and at other times of the year, which calls for the mandatory utilization of a respirator
