Material Selection Specialist: Job Description Overview

About the Role:

As a Material Selection Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately picking products by matching numbers and items using a voice audio headset. You will hand stack cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly, moving them from the floor to overhead. The job includes placing beverage products in a defined stacking pattern onto the pallet, hand shrink wrapping orders with labels, and moving completed orders to the loading dock area using electronic pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment. Additional duties may include general housekeeping in the warehouse and other tasks as assigned.

Shift and Schedule:

• The workdays for full-time employees are typically Monday through Friday
• Service commences at 4:30 PM and lasts until the task is completed
• It is necessary to have the adaptability to work extended hours and weekends as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hand stacking and palletizing orders is the practice of manually arranging and organizing products on pallets for efficient storage and shipping purposes
• Executing tasks with EPJs, pallet jacks, and voice audio headset technology
• Sorting and selecting items to order
• Concluding orders with shrink wrap packaging
• Undertaking actions like lifting, pushing, pulling, and performing manual functions as needed by the task at hand

Requirements:

• Sufficient physical stamina to stand, exert force, move items, flex the body, rotate, kneel, and carry loads for the entire shift
• Competent in the task of lifting items up to 50 lbs. from ground level to above the head
• Competence in using a voice-activated order selector picking system
• Skillful in hand shrink wrapping concluded purchases for shipping
• Well-equipped to manage work situations that involve different temperature extremes
