Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall material condition of the facility and all assets. This dual-reporting role reports to the Plant Manager for day-to-day execution and to the RCM Regional Manager for technical direction and asset strategy. The primary focus is to maximize production time, minimize upkeep costs, and manage expenditures related to equipment, spare parts, and consumables. The Maintenance Manager ensures high-quality repair and maintenance services that enable the plant to meet production goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Proactively ensure that all ADM employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors understand and comply with ADM safety policies and procedures.
• Set goals and expectations for the maintenance team.
• Support and engage in Performance Excellence activities within the facility.
• Assist production departments with safety, quality, and audit compliance.
• Align, deploy, and execute the ADM Maintenance and Reliability vision/strategy.
• Maintain production equipment to function as designed or expected.
• Manage and implement preventative maintenance and reliability activities.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and RCM CoE to develop and manage the maintenance budget and monthly R&M spending.
• Lead and support root-cause analysis processes within the maintenance team to address failures and implement countermeasures.
• Develop, review, and analyze maintenance/reliability metrics and performance.
• Assist production leadership in training operations personnel on proper operations, cleaning, lubrication, troubleshooting, and adjustments of production equipment.
• Drive effectiveness of the storeroom and spare parts inventory to ensure availability of needed parts.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production schedules.
• Maintain effective equipment history, work history, and preventative maintenance programs using a
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure all maintenance work is documented.
• Manage ongoing maintenance and reliability projects (asset reliability and defect elimination).
• Responsible for people management, including retention, recruiting, and team engagement.
• Identify training opportunities and facilitate training sessions for maintenance personnel, focusing on precision skills, safety practices, and work standards.
• Provide ad-hoc technical support as needed.
• Actively manage the maintenance team and coach employees, providing effective, consistent, and fair feedback to help them reach their fullest potential.

Job Requirements:

• A recognized engineering qualification with electrical and mechanical knowledge or ideally a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience and leadership in Reliability Centered Maintenance processes.
• Strong experience in a food, feed, or chemical production environment (preferred).
• Proven experience managing or supervising a maintenance department, incorporating safety & health, environmental, quality, production, and project management.
• Proficient in asset management techniques and software.
• Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills with a results-focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
• Thorough knowledge of machinery, with prior experience in instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs, ladders, and working at heights.
• Willingness to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors year-round, occasionally in dusty, noisy, or hazardous conditions.
