Job Overview

As a Warehouse Worker at Spherion, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and smooth operation of the warehouse. This position involves a range of tasks that ensure the proper handling of materials, product assembly, and shipment preparation. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for maintaining safety and cleanliness within the warehouse at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Forklift - You will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Ensure that goods are placed in appropriate locations within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
• Follow proper safety protocols while operating the forklift to minimize the risk of accidents or injury.
• Picking and Packing Orders - Accurately pick and pack customer orders based on specific requirements.
• Ensure that the correct products are selected, checked for quality, and packed securely for shipment.
• Meet daily order quotas and handle orders of varying sizes and complexities.
• Loading and Unloading Trucks - Load materials and products onto delivery trucks and ensure they are securely stored to prevent damage during transit.
• Unload incoming materials or shipments from trucks, organizing them in the warehouse for easy access and distribution.
• Ensure that truck loading and unloading processes are done in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delays.
• Product Assembly - Follow detailed product specifications and assembly instructions to put together products before shipment.
• Ensure that all components are assembled accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and quality control.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with materials or assembly procedures to supervisors for quick resolution.
• Maintaining a Clean and Organized Work Area - Keep the warehouse and workstations clean, organized, and free of obstacles to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Regularly clean tools, equipment, and storage areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic workspace.
• Help implement practices that contribute to a well-maintained, clutter-free warehouse.
• Following Safety Guidelines - Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, or damage to products and equipment.
• Actively participate in safety training and meetings to stay updated on best practices and warehouse safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions or safety hazards immediately to management for prompt resolution.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
• Experience with forklifts or similar warehouse equipment is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
• Attention to detail, ensuring that orders are accurate and products are assembled to specification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
